Scars

I would say though true it does not go far enough. When the scar is still fresh it has a strange feeling when touched or brushes against. Nerves frayed and splintered are still repairing and the brain is still calculating the loss of mass.

What is the feeling when you’re driving away from people, and they recede on the plain till you see their specks dispersing? -it’s the too huge world vaulting us, and it’s good-bye. But we lean forward to the next crazy adventure beneath the skies.

After the River bend there is a bridge straight out of Washington Irving’s Sleepy Hallow. If it was at night I would have thought the Headless Horseman was coming.
